Conditions : Yellowstone Rivers: The Northeast Corner of the park is going to be on the decline now and the West end will start to pick up again. That's what happens in the fall - the terrestrials drop off and the streamer and nymph fsihing and BWO's improve. The Firehole will cool down and when it does, the mayfly hatches over there can be good - swinging soft hackles is productive as well. The Barnes pools on the Madisonwill start to get busy, surprise suprise, and that means a few fish are starting to move around. Fishing the junction towards the end of October is one of my favorites, but it's crowded. Bring on the fall! When we make it down for a little fall fishing we'll get you an update again, until then, if you're headed up towards the park, we'd recommend concentrating on the west side now and throwing away your terrestrials and bringing out your nymphs and streamers!
