Conditions : Lake Tenkiller: Lake Elevation: Above Average Water Temp and Clarity: Murky / Clearng

Bass, White, Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Smallmouth, Bass, Spotted Action: Good Baits: Alabama Rig, Bill Baits, Crankbaits, Jigs Locations: Creek channels, River Channel, and Trolling / Cherokee Landing State Park and up.

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Smallmouth, Bass, Spotted Action: Good Baits: Alabama Rig, Bill Baits, Buzz Baits, Spinnerbaits Locations: Brush structure, Points, Rocks, Shorelines, and Mid to lower lake.

Crappie, White Action: Fair Baits: Jigs, Minnows Locations: Brush structure, Docks

Additional Information: The lake is currently two (2) feet above normal and mostly murky. Due to recent below freezing temperatures, most sand bass have run back down into the lake. Primarily males have been caught in deeper holes above Horseshoe Bend. With measurable rain forecasted for the weekend, additional flows should stimulate spawning activity up the Ilinois River as long as it does not get too murky. Good luck, Brady May

About: - Located on the Illinois River a few miles south of Tahlequah, Lake Tenkiller lies in the heart of the Cookson Hills and reaches more than 25 miles up the river into Sequoyah and Cherokee Counties. Tenkiller is the clearest body of water in Oklahoma. The 13,000 acre lake consist of rocky bluffs, secluded coves, and serene, lush forest that provides beautiful scenery from any area on the lake. Anglers may choose from various bass species, crappie, catfish, bream and walleye. Rainbow trout are stocked below the dam. (more on Lake Tenkiller)

Misc Info: - Tenkiller - prohibited methods of fishing: gigs and spears downstream from Horseshoe Bend boat ramp; speargunning legal when used with SCUBA, except taking flathead catfish from June 15 through July 15 is prohibited.
