: Big Hole River: Not much has changed over here recently, this river is fishing well right now on streamers and nymphs. Nymphing deeper slower buckets has been the ticket. Worms and eggs have been crushing fish here right now. If you want to throw streamers think yellow, think brown, think yellow and brown, think custom tied bunny monstrosities, and also don't forget about BWO's that will accompany the change in weather. Best fishing is above melrose. Typical nymphs this time of year are attractor nymphs, san juan worms, rubber legs, copper johns, and flashback pheasant tails. Also, just a reminder but taking a hard boat down here right now is a bad idea unless you really like walking it around and over stuff. Fly pattern suggestions:
Purple Haze: 16-18-20 Purple Para Wulff: 16-18 Gay Baetis: 16-18 Lipstick Butt BWO: 16-18-20 San Juan Worms (assorted colors): 8-10 Rubberlegs Tan, Chocolate, Black: 6-8 Pheasant Tails: 16-18 Anatomay Oliver: 14-16-18 Yellow Yummy: 2-4-6 Homewrecker Yellow: 2-4-6 Sex Dungeon Yellow and Natural: 2 The Turd: 6-8-10 Little Bit of E: 16-18 Reported by: Montana Troutfitters |

| About: -
The Big Hole River comes to life in the Beaverhead
Mountains south of Jackson, Montana, as the outlet of Skinner Lake, elevation
7,340. Throughout the 155.6 miles it flows, the Big Hole takes on many faces.
From its beginning as a small mountain stream, the Big Hole flows north to
Wisdom, where it gains strength by joining with the North Fork and flows
northeasterly for about 25 miles.
