: Salmon River: Steelhead fishing around Riggins has slowed down a little with cooler weather, but anglers are still doing well. Hot Shots in green or green pirate and shrimp and roe below a diver have produce the best fish so far. Trout beads have resulted in good catches as well. Late fall and early winter can be a great time to fish for steehead when the river is less crowded. Some good days can still be had, so come on in and get geared up with everything you need to catch these awsome fish.
