Conditions : Lake Tenkiller: Lake Elevation: Normal Water Temp and Clarity: Murky to clear.

Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Blue Action: Excellent Baits: Cut Bait, Shad, Worms, and Any natural or live bait and some plastic baits. Locations: Riprap, Rocks, Shorelines, and Spawning catfish are in close to the bank.

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Smallmouth, Bass, Spotted Action: Good Baits: Crankbaits, Hair Jigs, and Jig with pork chunks and brush hog style lures. Locations: Flats, Main lake, Points, Shallows, and Bass are hanging out in 10-12' of water off points and sunken islands.

Additional Information: The lake is 9" above normal and catfish are spawning on the rocks. They will bite almost any live or natural bait and even some plastics. Black bass are still hanging out in 10-12' of water off rocky points and sunken islands. With water temperatures increasing, night fishing is becoming most productive. With the lake down to normal, keep an eye out for underwater structures and shallow flats. Be safe and good fishing. Brady May

About: - Located on the Illinois River a few miles south of Tahlequah, Lake Tenkiller lies in the heart of the Cookson Hills and reaches more than 25 miles up the river into Sequoyah and Cherokee Counties. Tenkiller is the clearest body of water in Oklahoma. The 13,000 acre lake consist of rocky bluffs, secluded coves, and serene, lush forest that provides beautiful scenery from any area on the lake. Anglers may choose from various bass species, crappie, catfish, bream and walleye. Rainbow trout are stocked below the dam. (more on Lake Tenkiller)

Misc Info: - Tenkiller - prohibited methods of fishing: gigs and spears downstream from Horseshoe Bend boat ramp; speargunning legal when used with SCUBA, except taking flathead catfish from June 15 through July 15 is prohibited.
