Conditions : Salt River: Of the Salt River tributaries, Jackknife Creek might be in the best shape where small woolly bugger types and bead head nymphs would be best bets for action. All streams draining high country will host run-off for a while.

About: -

The resident fish in Salt River are, Brook, Rainbow and the Snake River Fine-Spotted Cutthroat, which tend to average 10- 14 inches in length.  Brown trout are present also,  but they normally stay in deep cool waters of Palisades until fall.  Fishing pressure is relatively light in comparison to the neighboring South Fork and Wyoming Snake River
