: NEHALEM RIVER: Winter steelhead angling should be good in the north fork. Many hatchery fish are now dark or spawned out, and more wild fish are showing in the catch. Drift fishing, bobber and jig, or spinners have all produced some fish. Fishing is improving in the mainstem Nehalem River basin also. The river is high and muddy at this time, and will clear slowly. Look for the upper part of the basin to clear first.
