About: - Fishing the lower Mountain Fork River: Nestled in the Kiamichi Mountains in southeast Oklahoma, trout will be found throughout the stream and its tributaries. Tailwaters of Broken Bow Lake the lower Mountain Fork is stocked with 4000 rainbows and browns every other Thursday. The designated Trout Stream area is 12 miles long. This section of the Mountain Fork is the most noted year around trout fishery in the Oklahoma. The 12 mile designated trout stream begins at the base of Broken Bow Dam extending downstream to the U.S. Highway 70 bridge. Below Beavers Bend State Park there are public access points at the Re-regulation Dam and Presbyterian Falls. There is a fee access site located near the Highway 70 bridge. Misc Info: - Regulations: Zone One, limit of six fish (including one over 20 inches) and can fish with bait. Zone Two, below Old Park Dam, anglers are restricted to artificial flies and lures and no trout under 20 inches may be kept. Only one trout over 20 inches may be kept. In Zone Three, below the Rereg Dam, bait fishing is allowed, but only one trout over 20 inches may be kept. Check the regulations for any recent changes.
