: Horsethief Reservoir: Ice fishing has been fair with varying numbers being reported. Anglers have been having good luck on ice flies, jigs and tubes tipped with a wax worm or meal worm. | About: - Horsethief Reservoir: Horsethief is owned by the Fish and Game Department and is kept full of water throughout the year and is managed strictly as a family trout fishing water. Access is via a 1 ½ mile gravel road off of the Warm Lake highway. Large numbers of rainbow trout are stocked in the spring and fall months which maintains good fishing throughout the year. Trout fishing for 9-12 inch fish is usually very good to excellent in the spring, fall, and winter months. |
