About: - Necanicum River: This small stream offers fall Chinook salmon fishing along with steelhead and sea-run cutthroat trout. Chinook are in the river from late October or early November to around Thanksgiving, peaking in mid-November. The hatchery winter steelhead run lasts from late October through the middle of January. This run peaks around the end of December. A small wild run of steelhead arrives in early February, peaking between mid-February and into March. Sea-run cutthroats move through from August to late October, with prime fishing for them early in the season before they disperse into tributary streams to spawn.
