: Coeur D'Alene Lake: A creel survey is being conducted by Fish & Game personnel in the Lake Coeur d'Alene and Chain Lakes area. Right now the main fish being caught is Kokanee with fish averaging 7"-12 "and an hour and a half effort per fish caught. Bass is starting to pick up, too, mainly for largemouth in the Chain Lakes and tribal waters (southern part of the CDA Lakebe sure to get a fishing license from the Coeur dAlene Tribe). Several 8-9 pound bass have been caught in the past two weeks, and quite a few between 4-6 pounds as well; using plastic lizards has paid off for bass fishing. Smallmouth bass anglers are also getting a few fish from all different parts of the Lake with no areas really getting overfished. Reported by: |
