About: -
The McKenzie River is a tributary of the Willamette River and originates as the outflow of Clear Lake in the high Cascades in the Willamette National Forest. The river flows south from Clear Lake, paralleled by Oregon Route 126, and goes over Sahalie and Koosah falls. The river travel about 90 miles before it dumps into the Willamette.
Fish in the McKenzie River and some of its tributaries include spring Chinook salmon, mountain whitefish, and bull and rainbow trout.
