Located just 15 miles west of Yellowstone National Park, this high mountain lake is the kind of place fishermen dream about.

The park's 44 campsites (Click here for Campground map), and 3 camping cabins put you right on the shoreline of the 6,000-acre Henrys Lake. In addition to camping, the park offers 2 day-use areas, hiking, interpretive trails,(click here for trail map), wildlife viewing, boating, and beautiful views of this broad mountain valley..



Buttermilk Campground

This Campground is on Island park Reservoir and most sites have some shade. Nearby there is a power boat ramp and a small grocery store. On site there are 2 campground hosts. In the group area of the campground there are shore trout fishing, volleyball area, and horseshoe pits. Each single site is allowed 1 RV, and each double site is allowed 2 RV's.

Directions: Go west on to the Kilgore-Yale Road (across from the Elk Creek Gas Station), and go 2 miles to the other Buttermilk Loop Road. Turn left, and go 2 miles and you will see the sign for Buttermilk Campground on the right..



Mccrea Bridge Campground (Tent Camping)
Island Park, Idaho 83429
Located at the backwaters of Island Park Reservoir. The area is slightly shaded. Restrooms and power boat launch are provided. Popular activities include bridge fishing, trout fishing, power boating and water skiing. There are some sites on a first come, first serve (no reservation) basis.

Directions: Highway 20 go west at Elk Creek Service Station, travel 2 miles to campground entrance..



Flat Rock Campground
Island Park, Idaho 83429
Flat Rock Campground is located in Island Park. The campground is adjacent to the Snake River, and Highway 20 is 100 yards from the campground entrance. There is a campground host on site. Most of the sites in teh campground are shaded. Amenities include restrooms and accessible flush toilets in Loop B.

Directions: Highway 20. The campground is across from Macks Inn Resort. .

Located fifteen miles north of the town of Ashton, along the banks of the Henry's Fork Snake River. Campground is in a quiet area with lodgepole pine trees. Restrooms are provided. Phone, gas, and groceries are eight miles away. Popular activities include hiking, fishing, parks and wildlife viewing.
