Fishing Info: Crystal River - The Crystal river offers a spectacular setting as it flows down the Crystal Valley and enters the Roaring Fork in Carbondale. From its reaches, the river winds down the valley offering easy access, eager trout and mountain whitefish. It harbors good numbers of rainbows and browns with the occasional cutthroat or brookie, and can be fished all year in the lower reaches. Bang the banks with terrestrials in September and switch to Blue Winged Olives in October and November.
