The Mosca Campground is located in the low dunes west of San Luis Lake. The 51 campsites feature a panoramic view of the lake, the surrounding mountains and the Great Sand Dunes. All sites have electrical hookups, sheltered tables, and fire grills. Drinking water and a dump station are also available on site. A bathhouse with modern restrooms, hot showers and laundry facilities is located in the campground. Campsites can accommodate motor homes and trailers, and some sites will hold tents. The best campsites for tents are 2, 4, 7, 25, 27, 33, 37, 38, 39, 42, and 51.
The campground will remain open after Labor Day on a first come/first serve basis throughout the winter. The showerhouse will close after October 31, but water, electric, and the dump station will remain available. . |
