Near the lake, visitors can enjoy a guided nature trail and a hiking trail that leads to a scenic overlook of the area from the top of nearby Davenport Hill.

Camping, picnicking and hiking, Wildlife viewing, Fishing, Boating with small launch ramp.

Full service season: May 1 - October 1, depending on weather and road conditions.

Facilities:

  • 52 campsites with picnic tables, tent pads, and fire rings, 48 single family sites, 4 double family sites and 1 group campsite.
  • Tents, trailers, and motorhomes up to 35 feet can be accommodated, but no utility hookups are available.
  • 8 wheelchair accessible day use picnic sites.
  • Picnic ramada with barbeque grills and tables.
  • Pit toilets, garbage bins, and recycle bins available.
  • Potable water hydrants are scattered throughout the campground.
  • Sewage dump station.

Directions and Road Conditions: From Williams turn south on Fourth Street (FR 173-Perkinsville Rd. ) for 3.5 miles to Forest Road 140. Turn left on FR 140 and continue for 3 miles to FR 132; turn left onto FR 132 and follow it to Dogtown Lake . The roads are paved and graveled for all-weather use..
