Comments by S ThrappComments about DISCARDED FISHING LINE HARMFUL TO WILDLIFE
Fishpond makes a great product to help with this problem. It''s called the Piopod (PIO for "pack it out"). It''s a little trash can easily attached to your vest; it has an elastomeric cap that makes it a snap to stow even many yards of this stuff. I''ve been carrying one for a couple of years and have packed out hundreds of yards of discarded mono (wish spin fishers would carry and use them, too).
The little guy also readily accepts all other sorts of trash - wrappers, cigarette butts, lead shot, etc. - so it''s a great answer to this problem.
