Conditions : Irondequoit Bay: Conditions are varying greatly depending on the time of day and location on the bay, as far as travel goes. There are areas where there is crust on top of the snow and slush that you can walk on, there are also areas you can't and are breaking through. Time of day can make a difference with this, as in the early morning (on nights when it's been freezing) there is a good crust, but by mid-day it can be gone. There are also spots where the snow has melted off and the ice is very slick requiring cleats, etc. to walk on. So, be prepared to deal with a variety of conditions even on the same water. Watch out for areas of flowing water with the recent thaw, like stream/river mouths, culverts, etc. There is open water on some areas of Irondequoit Bay as well.
