Fishing Info: Ute Lake State Park is 25 miles northeast of Tucumcari New Mexico on Hwy 540, three miles west of Logan. Ute Lake is almost 13 miles in length and roughly a mile in width, but it is known for its numerous coves and inlets. The lake is excellent fishing for walleye, smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill and channel catfish. Ute lake in the past produced several state-record game fish and round-the-clock fishing is available every day of the year for the fishing enthusiast.
