| About: -
Smithville Lake is a 7,190-acre reservoir on the Little Platte branch of the Platte River near Smithville, Missouri. More than 4,000 of the water surface acres were left uncleared to provide the aquatic habitat that should provide excellent fishing. Hundreds of irregularly shaped coves will furnish over 175 miles of shoreline fishing. Large mouth bass, channel catfish, blue catfish, flathead catfish, bluegill, walleye and crappie are all native fish caught at Smithville Lake. The average number of bass tournaments held annually on Smithville Lake is 300.
