Conditions : Lake Tom Bailey: Water temperature is under 70 degrees.

BASS fishing is fair. Anglers are having best luck running crankbaits along the rip-rap on the levee. Some large fish are being caught, but most fish are 13 to 15 inches.

BREAM fishing remains good this week from the bank or in a boat. Fish in water around 6-8 feet with cricket.

Lots of CRAPPIE are coming out of deep water (most are <12 inches). Fish the drain structure or willow trees on the edge of the channels with a jig.

CATFISH bite should pick since fish from the rodeo were released. Night fishing is best in deep water. Anglers are using chicken livers.

About: - Lake Tom Bailey reopened in October 2005 after being closed for repairs to the dam. Many willow trees were left standing in shallow areas of the lake and will be an attraction for most fish, especially crappie. Fishing jigs and minnows in this area during the spawning season should provide anglers with an exciting day. The willows provide a natural habitat for fish and a hot spot for anglers. Anglers can also enjoy a great lake to catch catfish, bream, and crappie.
