Conditions : Moro Bay State Park at the junction of the Ouachita River, Raymond Lake and Moro Bay said the river is at normal level (65 feet above sea level). Crappie fishing is beginning to pick up. The word on the boat ramp is that chartreuse jigs are working best when fished in treetops in the lake and the bay. Bream fishing has been fair. Crickets and worms are working best. Most of the bank fishermen report catching some bream but most are saying they aren’t big ones. Little has been said for bass and catfish but that’s most likely because few are fishing especially for them right now. The weather has been wonderful and fishing is expected to pick up this fall.
