: FAIN LAKE: Fain was stocked Aug. 27 with 500 pounds of channel catfish. This is the third catfish stocking since the beginning of June. Water continues to flow into the lake due to the rains. The runoff has resulted in very turbid water. This may actually be good for the catfish bite. Often run off and turbid water stimulates channel catfish to feed. You may try using night crawlers as a first choice.
Trout stocking will resume in the week of Sept. 15, provided water temperatures are low enough. At this point it looks like it will be plenty cool.
