Conditions : CRESCENT LAKE: hing is fair to good. All boat ramps are accessible; however, the west and south boat ramps are deeper than the ramp on the north end of the lake.

Fly-fishers have been catching brook trout on black, brown or yellow woolly worms with a red tail.

Lure fishermen should try bright colored (orange or red) lures. Try worms, Power Bait, corn, and salmon eggs, lures such as small Z-rays, Super Dupers, KastMasters, and spinners (Mepps, Panther Martin, and Rooster Tail), and flies such as wooly worms, wooly buggers, Yeager bugger, leech patterns, peacock ladies, Warden Worrys, prince nymphs, and zug bugs. Also try small nymphs in brown, black or green.

Crescent is open to electric trolling motors and up to 10 hp. gas motors. The store is closed for the season.

About: - 130 acres, Elev. 8,900 ft. 41 miles southeast of Pinetop using Arizona 260 and 273. The road from 260 to Crescent Lake is continually being improved. Surrounded by forests and rolling meadows, Crescent Lake is known for its brookies and rainbow. If the wind stays down, it can be a good fly fishing lake. Boat rentals and small marina available: additional facilities at nearby Big Lake. Access: Gravel Boating: Boats to rent, Motors to rent, 8hp single (or less) motor, launching area Amenities: Parking area, restrooms, drinking water, trailer spaces, Winter freeze: yes Live Bait Fish prohibited Nearest Town: Springerville - restaurants, lodging, airfield, fuel for planes Note: Campground nearby. ACCESS: Highway 261 is open from Eager. Highway 273 will be closed for the year for road construction. State Highway 273 from Crescent Lake to Winn Campground is open 7 days a week until mid-May. Starting in mid-May, State Highway 273 from Crescent Lake to Winn Campground will be closed from 6 a.m. Mondays through 6 p.m. Thursdays, but will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Winn Campground will only be open on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends.			Rainbow and Brook Trout

Misc Info: - Crescent is open to electric trolling motors and up to 10 hp. gas motors. This lake has easy boat and shore fishing access. The fishing pier at the north end of the lake has been moved to the south boat ramp area. The boat dock at the west end boat ramp has been installed.
