Conditions
: TOLEDO BEND: GOOD. Water slightly stained; 65 degrees; 2.07 feet below pool. The bite will be slow for the next week after a cold front dropped the nightly temperature into the low 40s. Bass fishing is fair while fish are between stages. Lots of bass have spawned, and more are coming in to spawn. Bass are shallow and the best baits have been slowly fishing a Wacky worm or Texas rigged lizards. A few fish coming on swim jigs with matching swimsuits for trailer. About: -
The most popular game fish at Toledo Bend Reservoir is
the largemouth bass; an excellent year-round fishery exists. Good year-round
crappie and catfish fisheries are also present. Striped bass are maintained by
annual stockings because conditions at Toledo Bend usually do not allow a
successful natural spawn.
