Conditions : Maramec Spring Park: Water Surface Temp: 58º Water Level (Range): normal Water Type: dingy Fish Reported: Rainbow Trout: Good Brown Trout: Fair water is dingy due to recent rains but is slowly improving and is around 2 feet of visibility currently; you can use line up to 6 lb test; once water clears, 2-4 lb test is recommended; best bets are early morning; scented dough baits continue to be good in the dingy water; orange, orange with glitter, and white are hot colors with the greenish tint of the water; rainbow trout continue to be good on orange and orange/white plastic worms; best flies to try are green caddis, tan scuds, rainbow warriors, soft hackles fished on the swing; remember that all brown trout less than 15" in length must be returned to the water immediately; fishing times for the month of September are 7:30 a.m. - 7:15 p.m..
