: Brushy Creek: Black Crappie - Fair: A few crappie are being picked up along shore and near submerged structure. Crappie action will pick up as water temperatures continue to climb. Largemouth Bass - Fair. Walleye - Fair: Walleye will start to feed more heavily as they recover from spring spawning activity; use twisters or live bait. Yellow Perch - Slow. Reported by: |

Brushy Creek Lake is located in the Brushy Creek Recreation Area
(Located 5 miles south of Duncombe) that is
composed of 6,500 acres of public land. The lake itself is 690 acres and is one
of Iowa's premier lakes. It has a mean depth of 29 feet and a maximum depth of 80
feet. Brushy Creek Lake has four multi-lane concrete boat ramps, one accessible
fishing pier and eight fishing jetties. Two campgrounds are available the
camping enthusiast.
Brushy Creek has an excellent population of bluegill, largemouth bass,
walleye, smallmouth bass and channel catfish. Crappie fishing is also expected
to be excellent. Muskies have been stocked to provide a trophy fishery. Motor
size is unrestricted but boaters must operate at a no-wake speed.
Special Regulations: 15" minimum length limit on black bass and 40"
minimum length limit of muskellunge.
