Conditions : MARTINEZ LAKE - Senkos are always a go to, either wacky or Texas rigged. Dropshot works well this time of year as well. Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Red or even Smoke with Purple Flake. Top Water in the early morning/late evening, use poppers, Whopper Ploppers or Frogs. Senkos and creature baits rigged up and flipped in to brush and cover are a great way to go as well. Fish slow and patient and the bites will come. Jigs do great in this time of year as well. RatlTraps and Lipless crankbaits are also popular. Catfish: Stink baits, Dough Baits, and Chicken liver. Try your best to arrive and fish around dawn to sunrise for bass this time of year for best results.
