THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR A LARGE PART OF ARKANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

HIGH PRESSURE WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN AND SHIFT EAST OF ARKANSAS LATER
TODAY AND TONIGHT. AS A RESULT...CLOUDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE IN
ADVANCE OF A DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM TO THE WEST. SCATTERED SHOWERS
ARE POSSIBLE OVER FAR WESTERN ARKANSAS IN THE AFTERNOON TO
EVENING...BUT OVERALL RAIN AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE LOW.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

UNSETTLED WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL RETURN TO ARKANSAS FOR THE HOLIDAY
WEEKEND. A DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM TO THE WEST WILL MOVE SLOWLY
TOWARD THE REGION...ALLOWING MOISTURE TO BUILD NORTHWARD THROUGH THE
SOUTHERN PLAINS STATES. EVENTUALLY...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...
WITH HEAVY RAIN...WILL DEVELOP OVER WESTERN ARKANSAS FIRST...THEN
SPREAD ACROSS THE ENTIRE STATE SUNDAY AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.

DUE TO THE RECENT HEAVY RAINFALL...IT WILL NOT TAKE MUCH RAINFALL TO
CAUSE FLASH FLOODING...AS WELL AS INCREASE LEVELS OF AREA RIVERS. A
FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT FOR
THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF WESTERN ARKANSAS. RIVER FLOODING WILL ALSO BE
SEEN.

UNSETTLED WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF
NEXT WEEK.
