: THISTLE CREEK: Fishing is slow to fair. One angler reported catching smaller brown trout in the Walk-in Access section of the Creek. If you're fly fishing, try using dry flies like Parachute Adams (size #18-#22), Parachute Baetis (size #18-#22), Renegade (size #18-#20), BWO (size #18-#22) or Griffith gnats (size #18-#22). Or, try using Sob-Czech nymphs (size #16-#20), Frenchie nymphs (size #16-#18), Soft Hackle Caddis Pupa (TBH) (size #16-#18), or Tungsten Tailwater Sowbugs (size #16-#18) - euro nymphing, in a dry-dropper setup, or under an indicator.
If you're spin-casting, try using florescent orange or garlice/chartreuse trout dough bait or salmon egg with a bit of nightcrawler under a small bobber or stream float. We recommend targeting areas with deeper runs, pools or undercut areas. Also, try using Blue Fox Classic Vibrax or Foxtail spinners, Rooster Tail spinners, Panther Martin spinners, Williams Wabler spoons, or Acme Little Cleo spoons. Reported by: Utah D.W.R |
