: OGDEN RIVER: The river is running low and clear with very little fishing activity. In the Division's early October surveys, Biologist Paul Burnett found stunning brown trout numbers in the Ogden River and South Fork. Just below Causey Reservoir, there are about 1,100 brown trout per mile. Below Pineview Reservoir, the average is 7,500 browns per mile, 47 percent of which are adults with an average length of 12 inches. Further down the canyon, the number of adult browns drops to 2,000 per mile. Near Dinosaur Park, the fish were smaller. The average size of brown trout increases from Lorin Farr Park downstream.
