Conditions
: GREEN RIVER: Fishing forecast (December through April): Recreational and angling pressure is low this time of year but is starting to pick up on weekends. Streamers in white, black or ginger colors can work well. Nymph presentations (zebra midges) are most common this time of year, as well as dry flies imitating midges and mayflies. Marabou and tube jigs in earth tones, white/chartreuse and ginger are good options. Rainbow or brown trout patterned crankbaits, spinners and spoons can also work well. Please pinch down the barbs for a quick release and use good fish-handling techniques on this mostly catch-and-release fishery. Flows are ranging from 900 cubic feet per second in the early morning to 2,300 cfs in the afternoon. Water temperature near the dam is 39 F. Reported by: Utah D.W.R |
