Douglas Reservoir: WATER CONDITIONS:
The water level continues to rise. The surface temperature is 64.8 degrees and the water has a murky color.Bass are becoming more active. Fish flats, points, and creek areas with top water lures, rat-l-traps, or spinner baits. Try different depths.
Crappie fishing is good. McGuire, Muddy, and Indian creeks, also Point 5, Point 7 on up to Point 13 are good areas to find crappie. Fish with live minnows, white flies with red head, or pink, purple or green flies tipped with minnows work very well. Fish 2 to 15 feet deep. Early morning is the best time.
Catfishing is fair.
Bluegill are becoming more active. Try crickets around bridge piers or sandy humps. White bass can be found in the areas of Leadvale on up in the river. They will hit about any small lure.
