: CHEATHAM DAM:
The fishing below Cheatham Dam (water temperature is 44 degrees) is beginning to pick up. Anglers are catching sauger on some days near lock walls. The generation below the dam is still swift (water has been being release beneath the gates and through turbines),
but the water down stream is relatively safe to fish. Anglers are also reporting that the white bass have begun running in the area as stripe get ready to spawn later this month or in early June. White bass spawn when water temperatures reach around 55 degrees--usually in March, but maybe in April this year.
