Conditions : Detroit Reservoir: The reservoir water level is low in order to provide for winter flood storage, but Mongold boat ramp is still available for use. Winter refilling began Feb. 1. Trout stocking will begin in March. Trout are active year round and with the reservoir beginning to fill and water temperatures slowly climbing, fishing can be surprisingly productive this time of year. Trolling slowly near drop–offs can be an effective technique.

About: - Detroit Lake is located in the Cascades of Oregon. The 400-foot-deep lake was created in 1953 when the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers completed the Detroit Dam project. The lake is over nine miles long with more than 32 miles of shore line. Detroit provides many easily accessible locations for avid fishermen. There are many fishing spots around Detroit Lake that can be very good from the shore.  Fishing from the dam provides the easiest access with some very good fishing action.  (more on Detroit Lake)
