: MOLALLA RIVER: The Molalla is running a little low but is still in decent shape for winter steelhead fishing. Its still generally too early to target spring Chinook on the Molalla but an early springer could conceivably show up in the next month or two. Keep an eye on Chinook and steelhead crossings at Willamette Falls as indicators of what is happening in the Molalla, which is just a short distance upstream of the falls. USGS hydrological data for the Molalla as of March 17 shows flows running low, at 657 cfs, with a gauge height of 11.35 feet. All of the readings come from the Canby gauge.
