: Greenleaf: Elevation is normal (stable), water temperature 55°F and clear. Bass, Largemouth good on Alabama rig, crankbaits, jerk baits, lipless baits, plastic baits around brush structure, main lake, points, shorelines. Crappie, Black, Crappie, White good on jigs, minnows, slabs around brush structure, docks, main lake. Catfish, Blue good on chicken liver, cut bait, shad, sunfish around docks, main lake, points. About: -
Greenleaf Lake is 930-acres and located in Greenleaf State Park in eastern
Oklahoma, south of Muskogee. A fully accessible
kids fishing pond, wetlands study area and outdoor kiosk is available. The
kids pond is stocked December through February with trout and stocked
occasionally the remainder of the year with bass, catfish and perch. Fishing is
allowed for the disabled and kids 16 and under (park trout stamp required during
trout season). In cooperation with the Paralyzed Veterans of American and an
ODWC grant, the park recently completed work on an accessible fishing pier on
Greenleaf Lake which is open for year-round fishing at no charge.
Facilities include 5 camping areas, 178 campsites, many of them
lakeside) 15 rustic 1-bedroom cabins fully equipped kitchens, cookware, utensils
and linens. The Cabin on the Lake is built specifically for the physically
challenged, (Firewood, TV's, VCR's and tapes are available at the park office.);
outstanding dining right over the lake, bait, kayak, canoe, paddleboat, party
barge, fishing boat rentals, a superb heated dock is open year-round, Horseshoe
pits and softball fields are available for your enjoyment.
