Conditions : Kaw: Elevation dropping, water 92 and muddy. White bass and crappie fair on jigs, topwater lures and slabs along riprap and bridges. Walleye, striped bass and striped bass hybrids slow on jigs and sassy shad below the dam. Report submitted by Spencer Grace, game warden stationed in Kay County.

About: - Kaw Lake covers 17,000 surface acres and has 168 miles of shoreline at the normal elevation just above 1000.00 feet above sea level. Ten boat launching ramps provide boaters with easy access to the lake. Kaw Lake offers boaters two full service marinas. The Lake and the Arkansas River are known for producing some of Oklahoma's largest catfish and offering anglers excellent opportunities to catch crappie, sand (white) bass and walleye.
