Conditions : Kaw: Elevation rising, water 85 and murky. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, worms, stinkbait and noodling at 2-8 ft. along flats, shorelines and rocks. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on crankbaits, live shad and topwater lures at 1-20 ft. in the main lake, riprap and points. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 12-18 ft. around brush structure and riprap. Report submitted by Spencer Grace, game warden stationed in Kay County.

About: - Kaw Lake covers 17,000 surface acres and has 168 miles of shoreline at the normal elevation just above 1000.00 feet above sea level. Ten boat launching ramps provide boaters with easy access to the lake. Kaw Lake offers boaters two full service marinas. The Lake and the Arkansas River are known for producing some of Oklahoma's largest catfish and offering anglers excellent opportunities to catch crappie, sand (white) bass and walleye.
