Conditions : Kaw: Elevation rising, water 72 and murky. Blue and channel catfish fair on cut bait, worms and shad at 1-8 ft. along flats and shallows. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs at 10-15 ft. around brush structure. White bass and striped bass hybrids good on crankbaits, spoons and live shad along riprap and rocks. Walleye slow on crankbaits at 5-12 ft. along riprap. Report submitted by Spencer Grace, game warden stationed in Kay County.

About: - Kaw Lake covers 17,000 surface acres and has 168 miles of shoreline at the normal elevation just above 1000.00 feet above sea level. Ten boat launching ramps provide boaters with easy access to the lake. Kaw Lake offers boaters two full service marinas. The Lake and the Arkansas River are known for producing some of Oklahoma's largest catfish and offering anglers excellent opportunities to catch crappie, sand (white) bass and walleye.
