: Copan: November 9. Elevation above normal, water clear. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 6-8 ft. near submerged structure. Catfish slow on chicken liver and cut shad below the dam. Copan Lake is about 4,850 acres of water and impounded behind this dam on the Little Caney River.
Copan Lake, located 1.8 miles north of Copan and, provides excellent habitat for game fish such as largemouth bass, white crappie, channel and
flathead catfish, and various species of sunfish.
Copan Lake has good camping facilities. Copan Point offers a designated beach
area, beautiful picnic sites overlooking the water, and a boat-launching ramp.
