Conditions : EAGLE NEST LAKE: Fishing slowed down for both rainbow trout and kokanee. There were a few caught by anglers trolling Platte River Specials and Arnies. Fishing for perch was very good using worms. A few northern pike were caught by anglers using top water lures and jerk baits.

About: - This 2,000-acre impoundment alongside U.S. 64 northeast of Taos is one of the state's premier kokanee and trout lakes; also has yellow perch. Good in open water or through ice for 14-inch-plus rainbows.
