: Hebgen Lake: Some gulpers remain active in Hebgen and Quake lakes. Its the time of year when action picks up in Elk, Cliff, Hidden and Wade lakes. Gulpers are still active in shallow waters, and big streamers on ultra fast sinking lines might bring a fish of the season from deeper waters. Reported by: |

It is located about 20 minutes west
of West Yellowstone and is very accessible. It is also the lake that some guides
believe is the finest dry fly lake in North America. Hebgen has a healthy
population of browns, cutthroats and rainbows. Fly fishing can be
productive whether you use wet or dry flies.
