About: -
The Conservation Department acquired this 351-acre area in 1962 and constructed a 162-acre lake here in 1964. The lake features two disabled-accessible fishing piers and a concrete boat ramp and offers good fishing for bass, bluegill, catfish and crappie. Outboard motors in excess of 10 horsepower must be run at a no-wake speed. Primitive camping available in Lake Girardeau Camping Area. BBQ grills, picnic tables, gravel parking pads. No electricity or water hook ups. Driving Directions
Seven miles west of Jackson on Highway 34, go 6 miles south on Route U. Watch for signs.
