: TOMBIGBEE STATE PARK: Bass - Bass fishing has been fair, but there haven't been many anglers on the lake. Fishing should begin to pick up as bass move up for the spawn. Soft plastics, jigs, and crankbaits are good options. The crappie fishing is beginning to pick up. Black and chartreuse jigs and/or minnows will both produce some bites. Bream fishing has begun to pick up a little. Crickets and worms tightlined on the bottom are working as well as anything, but don't overlook small spinners as the bite improves. The catfish bite is slow. Target drop-offs and deeper shoreline cover like laydowns with tight lined liver and/or night crawlers. Reported by: MDWFP |
