: Percy Qinn State Park: The excess rainwater has slowed the bite down a little, but the temperature is great. Grab a slickersuit and go catch them! Bass fishing is fair. Buzzbaits and other topwater lures have been good early in the morning and late in the evening. Also, plastics have been effective in deeper water in the middle of the day. Some bass are schooling and can be caught using rattletraps and crankbaits. No reports of catches lately, but there arent many people fishing in the rain. Bream fishing is fair. Fish are being caught on worms and crickets around the bank as usual. Crappie fishing is spotty. The bigger fish are near the dam in the deeper water. Also, target some of the deep fish attactors. Fish have been caught in 6-8ft of water. Minnows have been the bait of choice lately, but some fish are also being caught on jigs. Catfish are biting well. Try tightling in medium depth of water. Use chicken livers or nightcrawlers. Reported by: MDWFP |
