: LAKE LOWNDES STATE - Bass - Bass fishing has slowed recently. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and T-rigged soft plastics are all good choices. Don't overlook the early morning/late evening topwater bite. The crappie bite is slow. Jigs or jig/minnow combinations will be the best bait choices. Bream fishing is fair to good. Tightlining redworms, nightcrawlers, or mealworms works well, as do crickets. Cat - Target the creek channel and around the deeper points with night crawlers, cut shad, and/or liver. Tight lining is the most popular technique for catfish. Reported by: MDWFP |
