Conditions : BEE LAKE: - Bass - The summer heat is almost upon us. During this time of the year try fishing early morning and later in the afternoon, for the best bite. Look for bass to be shallower during these times but they will move out to deeper water as the sun gets directly overhead at noon. Buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics are all good choices this time of year. Mix up your tactics and bait choices to see what works best. Bee Lake has plenty of areas with woody structure as well as several areas with vegetation. Fishing these areas may be your best bet.

With the summer heat increasing water temperatures, the crappie will be holding in deeper water. Try fishing around any deep structure or trolling in the deeper areas of the lake. Try various depths while using jigs or minnows for bait.
Bream activity should be in full swing on Bee Lake. A good place to fish is around the cypress knees along the banks. Try using redworms or crickets at depths of 4 to 6 feet.
Try fishing for catfish in the deeper areas of the lake. Fish near the bottom with liver, nightcrawlers, or cut bait.
