: C.J. Strike Reservoir: Bass have been on the spawn the last few weeks, and are starting to move out to their summer time hang outs.
The Bruneau arm has produced some big smallies! The main bowl has been good for some large mouth as well. Drop shot, carolina rig, and deep crankbaits will come into play over the next month as fish scatter out over the lake. Perch fishing has been very good with cut bait and nightcrawlers Crappie fishing is still fairly slow, although a few good reports have come in. The fish seem to respond to the "do nothing method". Just let your jig sit as still as possible, and wait for a very subtile bite. Trolling for trout has been fair. The best trout fishing has been below the dam. Sturgeon fishing has been pretty good below the dam as well. Trout guts and jarred sturgeon candy have been the best procucers so far. Reported by: Sportsmans Warehouse |

offer minimal services and are free. The Black Sands resort east of the dam
offers full services. Camping fees are $20 per night for full hookups or $12 for
no hookups. (more on CJ Strike)
