Conditions : Boyd Lake - The current water temperature is approximately 40 degrees with a depth of 43 feet. Fishing for trout has been excellent. Anglers have had success fishing from the marina inlet and the entire north end using minnows and wax or meal worms. Fishing for walleye has been fair. Anglers have had success fishing from heron cove, the east side of the marina, and from the middle of the lake using jerk baits and jigs. Fishing for yellow perch as been good. Anglers have had success using tube jigs and wax or meal worms from heron cove and the east side of the marina.

About: - Boyd Lake State Park

Directions: Exit I-25 west at U.S. 34 near Loveland, turn north onto Madison Avenue, then follow the signs.

Boating: Two paved launch ramps. A six-lane ramp is located north of the swim beach, while a two-lane ramp is located just north of the group picnic area. The entire lake is open to boating and sailing. Only the south end of the lake is open to water-skiing. The ski pattern is counterclockwise.
