: Trappers Lake - FIRST REPORTS IN 7 YEARS
WAHOOOO!!!! As of 10/04/2019, this is a great high mountain lake with some of the most beautiful views in the state. The fishing has been great here as water temperatures have dropped. Try elk hair caddis, pheasant tails, and BWOs if fly fishing. Panther Martins, Blue Fox Vibrax, Mepps Aglia, and other spinners are a great option if fishing with a spin rod. There are special regulations to be aware of and fishing is by artificial flies and lures only. The bag and possession limit for cutthroat trout is two fish. All cutthroat trout greater than 11 inches in length must be returned to the water immediately upon catch. There is no bag or possession limit for brook trout. Fishing is prohibited in all inlets and upstream for ½ mile. Fishing is prohibited within 100 feet of either side of all inlet streams. Fishing is prohibited within 100 feet of either side of the outlet and downstream to the first falls. Reported by: Colorado D.O.W |
