Please check definition of bait and avoid scent impregnated or moldable items. Be 'Bear Aware' when in western Las Animas County! Monument Lake - Fishing for catchable-sized rainbow trout has been good. Anglers are taking some quick limits on yellow Power Bait, night crawlers, and artificial flies. Large cutthroat can still be caught occasionally. Fishermen are asked to be respectful of private properties surrounding the lake. Reported by: Colorado D.O.W |
